The PIN module curates all known direct protein interactions of genes associated with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
It includes six major types of interactions: protein binding, RNA binding, promoter binding, protein modification, autoregulation, and direct regulation. The PIN module is envisioned to accelerate ASD research by acting as a bioinformatics platform for network biology analysis of molecular pathways underlying ASD pathogenesis.
