Relevance to Autism

Genetic association has been found between the BAIAP2 gene and autism (Toma et al., 2011) as well as with ADHD (Ribass et al., 2009). In addition, a rare deletion in the BAIAP2 gene was identified with autism (Celestino-Soper et al., 2011).
