Animal Model Module
A comprehensive catalogue of mouse models linked to Autism.
Classification
The Animal Module of AutDB Gene utilizes an unique classification system in order to navigate the intricacies of the animal models.
For the genetic models, each reported model is assigned a name that consists of the gene name, chronologically ordered model number, the model construct (allele type, such as Knock Out, Knock In, etc.), and finally the genotype (Homozygous, Heterozygous, Hemizygous). We also classify publications that report the first model of a gene as "primary" with every subsequent publication
recorded as "additional".
For the induced models, each reported model is assigned a name that consists of an abbreviation of the inducer name, chronologically ordered model number, model type (IN for induced), and abbreviated form of model subtype (B or C for Biological or Chemical respectively)
